At our rabbitry, we care deeply for every bunny that has been part of our program, and finding the right home for them is very important to us. Our retired bunnies are not yet spayed or neutered and may display some hormone-driven behaviors at first. They can usually be fixed once they have had time to settle into their new home. Our rabbits come litter trained however they will need time to adjust and may need time to re-learn litter box habits, since they have been kept in a different setup. Spaying or neutering often helps improve litter training and reduces hormonal behaviors.

With time, patience, and love, we have seen older bunnies blossom into the most wonderful, affectionate companions. They are often calmer, with personalities that are already developed, so you know exactly who you are welcoming into your home. They are also typically less destructive and more emotionally mature, making it easier to build a strong and lasting bond.

Our retired breeder buns have spent their lives in a structured, loving environment. Giving them a forever pet home is a beautiful way to offer them the next chapter we wish they could have—a life filled with individual attention, comfort, and love.

If spaying or neutering cost is a concern, there’s a low-cost clinic in Southampton, NJ that I recommend. Our retired breeding, now pet bunnies, Max and Mochi, were fixed there and had a smooth, positive experience. Click the link below for more details.
